The HIT-GLIO virtual meeting, held on September 13, 2024 focused on reviewing project progress and collaboration among partners. The meeting began with a general update from the Coordinator, covering deliverables, the establishment and role of the Ethics Advisory Board, progress in dissemination and communications with ‘Understanding tumour-host interactions cluster’. Each project partner presented their progress and engaged in Q&A sessions, with presentations from NENCKI (Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology Polish Academy of Sciences), IPCZD (The Children’s Memorial Health Institute), ISS (Instituto Superiore di Sanita), IGR (Institute Gustave Roussy), GENEXPLAIN (GeneXplain Gmbh), UOXF (University of Oxford), SANQUIN (Saqnquin), TAU (Tel Aviv University), CNRS (Centre Nationale de Recherche Scientifique) , and MCGILL (McGill University).

The meeting maintained a structured schedule, and provided flexibility in discussion time. Key action points included continuing work on deliverables and coordinating logistics for future meetings. The session emphasized collaboration and future planning for the project’s development. The coordinators had informed Partners about the programme and timing of the Brain Tumors: from biology to therapy conference in Warsaw, June 16-18, 2025. Three Partners will be speakers at the meeting and 3 others will chair the sessions.

The meeting concluded with a general discussion, focusing on upcoming plans and scheduling the next in-person meeting for March 31–April 1, 2025, in Rome.
